Hope everyone had a great christmas ...

This little note was written by our 8 year old last night. He still believes and it was so sweet to read this after we finished our Santa duties. Today they spent the day playing their new Wii and I cooked all day for a Christmas dinner we had here with my family. It was a wonderful day and we thank God for all our blessings!

The last few months were unbelievable but we did it. Thank you to all the wonderful people in my life ...my clients, friends and my wonderful family. After the holidays I will be showing the best of 2008!

Just Cured .... Delicious Salmon!

As much as I love photographing people and the special times in their lives, I also enjoy doing commercial work. This year I got to do two sessions for Just Cured and its principal, Michael Brown.

Just Cured is an Over the Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati company that makes smoked and cured salmon. Michael hand produces these salmon products using the finest ingredients and the most traditional of techniques. Just Cured first released its smoked and cured salmon in late 2008.

I was thrilled with the photos I took -- as was Michael. These sessions took place at Michael's home. Unfortunately, it was raining the day of the second session, so those photos were taken under cover.

Trust me when I tell you that the stuff tastes every bit as good as it looks. One of the benefits of doing food photography is being able to eat the subjects at the end of the session!

Everyone has been so patient ... I was shooting almost daily for about 2 months. Now trying to edit them all has been so overwhelming. Not because I don't love it but I wish I could be faster.
