The Cottage Photoshoot ...

I'm home going through the images I took in NC and I came across one of my favorite shoots. Some of the girls and I went over to the coolest little cottage. A couple of them were staying there for the week and it was the cutest little place. We heard that J Crew & LL Bean also shot there ... cool! Anyway, we just went nuts shooting eachother.

Coming home to snow ...

I spent the night in Atlanta due to some icy, snowy weather in Ohio.
This was the sight of a snow covered Dayton right before we landed.
The next day I decided to take the boys sledding because I promised
myself to stay balanced meant taking time for my kids. They had so much
fun ... the hills were perfect for it!

Off Camera Flash ...

Here are some pictures I took experimenting with off camera flash. It is definitely more dramatic. A lot of photographers are using different lighting techniques and I love it. This was one of the coolest things I learned last week. Check it out ...

Goodbye North Carolina

This was such a wonderful experience and I have met some lifelong friends from all over the country. Most of these women have a thriving photography business while balancing family. It has been great sharing our ideas on how to be successful at both and enjoy every miniute of it. I can't wait to go back home and focus on all the things I've learned during my week here. It is going to be amazing!

Day Three ...

We've been so busy shooting, learning, and more shooting, and we even went in front of the camera a few times today as well. Here is a picture Lauren took of us after breakfast this morning.

Some more of my images. I am so tired. I'll post more tomorrow.

Shooting at Bald Head ...

During this amazing workshop we went out and photographed these beautiful people! I tried to do some different techniques I'v been learning. One of those techniques is off camera flash. It adds a dramatic more fashion feel. ... pretty fun and different for what I normally do. Check it out!

Bald Head Island here I come ...

I'm leaving for a week long photography workshop in Bald Head Island North Carolina. I am so excited to get away and learn some new things about running this business, photoshop techniques and all kinds of other cool things. I cannot wait to shoot all the upcoming weddings after my return! In the meantime, Amanda will be here returning e-mails, designing albums, filling print orders, and over all running things around here while I'm gone. I have limited cell phone and internet access but should be in touch at least once a day. So please feel free to call or e-mail if you need anything.
The photograph below was shot by the talented Lauren Clark. She is one of the amazing photographers putting the workshop together!
